B&W CM1 loudspeaker review

The B&W CM 1NT is a 5″ woven kevlar cone with a 1″ aluminum dome tweeter. Its the first level of B&W speaker thats made with a real wood veneer surface material.
The speakers themselves are small bookshelf speakers, they have dimensions of 11×6.5×10 and while their depth at 10″ is substantial to hold the long tweeter tube inside, the overall design is compact and not too heavy weighing in at 14 lbs.
A great feature with the design and asthetics is the magnetic front covers that slide on and off without pegs that can break.
The speakers sound big, really big, and have substantial base and clarity throughout the range. At over $800 a pair, they are expensive, and a better value is had with the B&W 685′s, although these do not come with the same fit and finish.
