Piiq Clip-on Earbuds
Haven’t updated my audio outputs in awhile, so I figured this is as good a time as any.
For basic everyday needs, I’ve got the Piiq Clip-on Earbuds. I’m almost certain Sony raised the bar with these headphones so much, they decided to make up a new brand for them. Problems with their older headphones such as the MDR’s have been fixed; the instant breaking 3 days outside of warranty, the questionable sound quality, all these headphones had to offer was price (9.99.. really?).
I bought the Piiq’s as an impulse buy, I honestly wasn’t completely sure how to put them on my ears at first (they look like your ears are ultra gauged). The good news is with their comfortable clip design, they’ll stay on you ears for pretty much anything (parkour anyone?) and they easily clip on your shirt or bag.

As for sound output, they get the job done. With a frequency Response of 6 – 23,000 Hz, you should be able to hear everything you need to. The 9mm drivers are comparable to more expensive brands such as Bose, and pump out a nice clean sound with plenty of bass (if it’s not enough bass for you, grab the Piiq Bass). It’s mostly nice to see something that’ll hopefully turn people away from Skull Candy.
Finally the price; at 24.99, they almost hit the ceiling at what I’m willing to spend for ear buds these days, but I’d buy them again if some terrible accident befell my current pair.
